Little Miles
Miles an eight year old boy went out with his family
one day to have lunch. When getting out of the car he found a $20 dollar bill
on the ground in the parking lot. He was very excited to spend it on a new
video game for himself. Once inside the
restaurant he saw a man in a uniform, a soldier dining with his own family.
It reminded him of his own father who had passed
five weeks after his birth. All he has now is a few pictures and his own
imagination. Little Miles wrote out a note for the kind soldier thanking him
for his service, and gave him the $20, thinking it was the honorable thing to
do.
It’s a sweet story, the kid didn’t know any
better, so he gave his money away. The note is what made a difference to the
soldier, not the money in general. He should have kept it and just written the
soldier a thank you note and gone to visit his father
