Final: Part 1

Final: Part 1

WARNING: I’m graduating already so in this post I am 100% honest and do not care for a grade.

1. What are things you liked about this class?
I liked the free time we had at the end of each class day. It was a great way to catch up on my emails and such.

2. What are things you did not like about this class?
I extremely hated how you would put on Pandora and make us listen to boring classical music. Another thing, I know you are trying to make us think and believe that choosing the right and such is good and best for our lives, but you sound like a priest jamming information about god down our throat forcing us to believe in something that I personally don’t think is worth it.

3. What are some recommendations for improving the class?
Play music that all students would enjoy. Like radio top hits on Pandora, you cannot go with that. Actually teach that class about computer stuff, not just about Microsoft word. I know you tried a few times but it was not enough.

4. Did you really do your best in this class?
This class was so easy that I honestly did not try that hard. The only time I would try was when I needed to do research, other than that this class is super easy; practically an easy A.

5. Are you reading your 100 life planning goals every day for at least 2 minutes?
Of course not, I do not have time for the silly idea of wishing something to happen; I work for what I want. In all reality I don’t have goals, and I do not plan to make any. I want to live life a day at a time, it is more fun and mysterious that way.

6. Are you committed to being a CTR person?
I sometimes am, but not always. I depends if it benefits me or other people.

7. What will you always remember about this class?

All the fun laughs I had with my classmates. And the time Modesto went off at you. lol it made my year. xD which by the way, everyone did hear you say, “Are you on drugs”

Charles Haymore

Student Success Statement

“Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, the ultimate choice is your keystone to being the best student and person you can possible be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. The ultimate choice is: to be a CTR person- to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!”

Charles Haymore

Doing the right thing can lead to bad consequences; always choosing the right is good in life but once in a while you have choose differently for either someone or yourself. Just simple never give up on having a happy life. That is all that matters.

Alan Stein

Student Success Statement

“Success is not an accident. Success is actually a choice. Are the habits you have today on par with the dreams you have of tomorrow?”

Alan Stein

I kind of agree with this statement, yet I kind of don’t. What if you did not expect to succeed and it just happened. Not everything that happens is your choice. A lot of the time you just fail and do not know why. All of my habits will and will not affect my future. It is something that I do not care to fix.

Thomas Carlyle

Student Success Statement

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”

Thomas Carlyle

A person without a goal is someone who is looking for one, or just living life stress free. You do not necessarily need a goal like a ship needs its rudder. It will help move you through life, but that is not living, that’s planning. In all reality, do what you want. Everybody is different in their own way.

Chinese Proverb

Student Success Statement

“If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.
If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.”

Chinese Proverb

Even with beauty in character, there will always be conflict in the world. War and death is not avoidable. And neither is peace and love.

Six Pillars of Character

Six Pillars of Character

What are the six pillars of character?
A framework for teaching good character:
1.   Trustworthiness
2.   Respect
3.   Responsibility
4.   Fairness
5.   Caring
6.   Citizenship

Example:
1.Trustworthiness:
·       Be honest
·       Don’t deceive, cheat, or steal
2.Respect:
·       Treat others with respect
·       Use good manners
3.Responsibilities:
·       Do what you are supposed to do
·       Plan ahead
4.   Fairness:
·       Play by the rules
·       Take turns and share
5.Caring:
·       Be kind
·       Be compassionate and show you care
6.Citizenship:
·       Do your share to make your school and community better

·       Get involved in community affairs

I apply the six pillars of character when needed throughout my life. I know when and where to use them and with certain people.
